Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to check up on me.
Man am I exhausted!!! Yesterday I spent the day running the fields searching for one of those training dummies thats "supposed" to smell like a pheasant, and holey cow is that a lot of work! I shouldn't have slacked off all winter long! (even though it was nice to be inside with my other family members where its warm).
I started off really strong. I guess my nose sounded like it was going to fall off the way I was sniffing everything (Glad I wasn't in water!). As time went on however, I slowly started to get tired and just wanted to lay down and catch my breath.
Once we were done in the fields we went over to Dave's Dad's house where they also have a fellow yellow lab. His name is Buddy. Normally I can run circles around Buddy but things were different last night! I'm telling you, those fields kicked my tail!!!
Dave told me he was sorry he didn't bring the camera with for some picture updates, but he promises to bring it next time.
Well, I gotta get running. Nikki's daycare kids should be coming here pretty soon so I gotta get ready to help. Basically I lay there and let the kids climb all over here. It's a rough life I live. lol
Well, Thanks again everyone for stopping in to check up on me.

My Dogtra Collar Has Returned...
Hello everyone, and thanks for taking the time to check up on me and my progress as a hunter.
In my last blog I told about how my Dogtra collar was broken and was shipped away for repairs. Dave sent it in the the 8th of March, Dogtra recieved it on the 10th. Dogtra fixed my collar and actually had it sent out UPS THE SAME DAY!!! I was floored when I heard that. I was actually hoping for a break from that thing as it normally meens I have to get off of the couch and get to training.
It appears that my break was short lived since we're gearing up for upland bird training starting next weekend. Dave bought me a few more training aids to use so things look to be fun. I just have to work a bit more on getting used to the shooting. I still get a little jumpy when I hear a bang, but Dave says he has a plan to help me with that.
I'll be posting pictures of my progress as we go, and I look forward to posting pics with all of the birds I get to retrieve in the future.
Thanks again everyone for taking the time to read about me!
P.S. If you'd ever like to go out hunting with me, let me know. I always like meeting new friends. Even more so if you have 4 legs and a tail like I do.

Spring is HERE!!!!
Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to check up on me. My owner has been a little slow with the updates, but I asure you he's an awesome hunting partner!
With the weather getting warmer I am starting to get antsy about getting back in the water. Dave says he's going to be trainging me this summer for pheasants and grouse instead of just waterfowl; and he mentioned something about me making a good shed dog too (whatever that means).
My dogtra collar died (aww bummer) and so I don't have to have that darn thing attached to my neck for a few weeks, but unfortunetly its looking like I will be getting either a new one, or a fixed one back from the company soon. :(
I'll make sure Dave gets to updating my blogs for me regularly, and will make sure to bite him in the butt if he falls behind again.
I look forward to posting pics, and telling hunting/training stories soon!
As always, thank you for taking the time to check up on me!
